Kunene for Christ het die volgende verklaring uitgereik na aanleiding van die NG Kerk se 2019-besluit oor selfdegeslagsverhoudings. Kunene for Christ verkondig die Evangelie veral in Kaokoland en die suide van Angola.

Kunene for Christ declaration
It is with great sadness, dismay and brokenness before God that Kunene for Christ takes note of the decision made by the General Synod of the Dutch Reformed Church (Benoni, October 8, 2019), which allows and endorses same-sex relationships and same-sex commitments in the church. Kunene for Christ deeply regrets this decision as ruthless, unloving and a flagrant contempt of God’s Word, because in principle, the Synod now gives absolution from sin and thus acquits certain sinners (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), excluding them from the grace of God and consequently forsakes them under the wrath of God.(John 3:36; Romans 1:18). It deprives them of the privilege of being redeemed, purified, sanctified and set free from the sin of same-sex relationships through the blood of Christ through faith in Christ (1 Corinthians 6:11).
Kunene for Christ therefore wants to openly reaffirm a decision already taken in 2015 by the Governing Council of Kunene for Christ.
Kunene for Christ’s confession concerning marriage and same-sex relationships
- We strongly believe that the Bible teaches that a life-long marriage between one man and one
woman, with Christ in the centre and unified by the love of Christ, is God‘s will for His church and
the only possibility for a Christian marriage. - We strongly believe that the Bible clearly condemns any sexual relationships outside of marriage
as sin and rebellion against God’s will. - We strongly believe that the Bible clearly condemns any homosexual practice as sin and rebellion
against God’s will. As with any other sin, there is forgiveness and deliverance through the power of
the blood of Jesus. - We strongly believe that the integrity and the holiness of the church of Christ is at stake, when
people who confess to be Christians, persevere in the practice of homosexual deeds (1 Corinthians
6:9-11). As with the perseverance in any other sin, this will disqualify them from serving on the
board of Kunene for Christ or as personnel of Kunene for Christ or as a co-workers of Kunene for
Christ. - Kunene for Christ’s passion is to reach out with the Gospel of Christ to as many people as possible,
so that they can be reconciled with God through the grace, forgiveness and healing that Christ
gives.
Kunene for Christ therefore calls on all partners, prayer supporters and believers inside and outside the Dutch Reformed Church to humble themselves before God and pray that He will be gracious to keep us obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ and his Word during these trying times.
